Effective date: 20 August 2026
Momentum Habits respects your privacy and is designed to keep your habit-tracking information under your control.
This Privacy Policy explains how Momentum Habits handles information when you use the Android application.
Momentum Habits does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, password, or other registration information.
Information you enter into Momentum Habits, including your habits, goals, schedules, progress, habit history, reminder times, and archived habits, is stored locally on your device.
Momentum Habits does not operate its own server for storing this habit data and does not intentionally send your habit or progress information to the developer for advertising purposes.
Momentum Habits allows you to manually export your habit data to a .momentum backup file.
Backups are created only when you choose to export them. You choose where the exported file is stored using Android’s file selection system.
When importing a backup, Momentum Habits reads the selected file and uses it to restore the information contained within it.
You are responsible for keeping exported backup files secure.
Momentum Habits can provide local habit reminders, morning overviews, and daily summaries if you enable these features.
Reminder preferences are stored on your device and are used to schedule notifications.
Momentum Habits may request Android permissions required to provide notifications and accurately schedule reminders. You may change these permissions through your device settings.
Momentum Habits uses Google AdMob to display advertising.
Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may automatically process information such as:
Google may use this information for purposes including advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.
Momentum Habits does not provide your habit names, habit goals, progress history, or exported backup contents to Google for advertising purposes.
Momentum Habits uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to manage advertising consent where required.
Users in applicable regions may be asked whether they consent to certain uses of their data for advertising.
Where available, you can review or change these choices within Momentum Habits by opening:
Settings → Privacy and cookie settings
Momentum Habits currently uses services provided by Google, including Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform.
These services may process information in accordance with Google’s own privacy policies and applicable consent choices.
Momentum Habits does not sell your habit or progress information to third parties.
Habit and progress information managed directly by Momentum Habits is stored locally on your device.
Information transmitted by Google’s Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
Your locally stored Momentum Habits data remains on your device until you delete it, clear Momentum Habits’ app data, or uninstall the application.
You can also delete or archive habits from within Momentum Habits where those features are provided.
Exported .momentum backup files remain wherever you chose to save them until you delete those files yourself.
Because Momentum Habits does not require a user account or maintain a developer-hosted database of your habit information, there is no separate online Momentum Habits account to delete.
Momentum Habits is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children through an account or registration system.
Advertising and consent behaviour may be subject to additional Google requirements depending on how the application is distributed and configured.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if Momentum Habits’ features, data practices, or third-party services change.
If significant changes are made, the updated policy will be published with a revised effective date.
